Field Service Technician (Electrical, Microwave ovens + Catering Equipment)

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Technician to join a specialist, niche company that will invest in your training and future development to ensure that you and the company stay at the forefront of their industry.

The successful applicant will be home-based and you will be partly responsible for managing your own time and workloads to ensure the best service is provided. The day to day allocation of work will ensure a varied working experience; Coffee chains, QSR's and the Pub/Restaurant part of the hospitality industry will make up the bulk of your daily site locations. All work is sent to you on your Tablet / Smartphone the evening before and will be used to capture all on-site details when attended.

Training is given both on-site and at our dedicated training facility at our HO in Northamptonshire. Initially, you will be paired up with your area manager to develop and settle you into the role. Once capable of carrying out the daily tasks while under the supervision of the area manager further training will then be given at HO before flying Solo.

Marren provides a high specification of company vehicles as we understand this is a Service Technicians "office". Alongside this, we ensure the Technician is provided with the right tools to carry out their working day as well as the necessary PPE and Workwear.

The Role:

  • Competitive salary
  • Monday to Friday working week with a 1-3 weekend Rota
  • Working from home, paid door to door.

The Person:

  • Possibly from white goods or other similar customer-facing field service roles
  • Basic Electrical / Electronic knowledge
  • Troubleshooting skills coupled with an aptitude for Practical work
  • The flexibility to work varied hours as and when required.
  • Good customer skills, polite and courteous
  • Organised and thorough
  • Flexible with a “can do” attitude
  • Tech-savvy with Mobile devices
